Bengal Assoc of Bloomsburg Area
The Bengal Association of Bloomsburg Area (BABA) is a non-political, secular organization whose mission is to promote cultural and artistic expressions of the Bengali community (especially persons of Bangladesh, West Bengal and Assam) and to create a cultural harmony and awareness within Columbia and surrounding counties. Noboborsho 2008 pictures coming soon
This year's Bengali New Year celebration was held on Sunday, May 18 at Town Park in Bloomsburg, PA. Performers included Pleasant Valley Dancers - KHOROVOD and Trimurti Dance Academy of New York. Pictures on the way soon.
Our next major event, Jalsa, will be Saturday, August 9th at BTE in Bloomsburg, PA. Featured performer is scheduled to be Ustad Kadar Khan. Tickets will be on sale later this summer.
